The Last Mile Initiative

With commuter cycling being our main outcome of the project our main function is the last mile initiative (LMI) The last mile is designed for people who are unfortunate enough not to have a bike or would like to try one before they get their own the opportunity to commute to work via bicycle saving money, their carbon foot print and time in some cases. This fantastic function offers the following;

Free bicycle hire

Free bicycle computer (to track mileage)

Free helmet

Free lights

Free cycle map of Glasgow

This amazing opportunity is all completely free funded by the climate challenge fund.

Maintenance Classes

Would you like to be bike savvy? Then roll along to our bicycle maintenance classes. These classes are designed for the beginners or the refreshers. Over the space of 2 hours we will cover the following steps:

Bicycle components

How to do a safety check

Change an inner tube

Cleaning and lubrication of drive chain

Brake adjustment

Gear adjustment

Q and A with trainer

Goodie bag with info and chain lube

This amazing opportunity is all completely free funded by the Climate Challenge Fund.

Free bicycle hire

The second function of the bike hub is our free use of bikes over 3 days for anyone willing to ride some two wheeled fun. From BMX bikes to road bikes we have most sizes covered with over 50 bikes available. All you need is some valid photographic I.D with proof of address and your good to roll. There is a range of E-bikes ready to go. These can only be hired out one day at a time due to recharge. We offer;

Free bicycle hire

Free helmet hire

Cycle map

E bikes hire

This amazing opportunity is all completely free funded by the climate challenge fund.

Learning 2 Ride events

Kids will have the opportunity to learn how to balance on their own bikes or using our hire bikes followed by assistance pedalling on their own and hopefully, they will be fully cycling on their own by the end of the day! We normally run 2 sessions throughout the day – for an hour at a time followed by a small presentation and good bag hand out! Our bikes sizes are for kids 5 years old onwards. Free bike hire and helmet are available! For the next event please check our Facebook page for the upcoming event or give us a call.
